The ACCC has reported that in 2017, more than $340 million was lost by victims of fraud in Australia.
This figure is likely to be significantly higher if it included other dishonesty based civil claims, such as:
breach of fiduciary duties by directors;
claims of deceit;
fraud by misrepresentation; and
wrongful and fraudulent trading and secret commissions, to name just a few.
